It was my own struggles with breastfeeding  that highlighted the need for more support in this area.  I had the support of my midwives and lactation consultants and I still struggled for 4-6 weeks with the first two children. Sometimes it takes a village!

I am a graduate of the International Breastfeeding Centre where I completed my clinical placement at the Newman Breastfeeding Clinic. I obtained over 500 hours working with breastfeeding families under the direct supervision of an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) and a pediatrician (including Dr.Jack Newman).  I passed the certifying exam on my birthday, June 13th and am now an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC)!
